Creating manual accounts
A manual account is one you maintain yourself — cash, a credit card from a bank we don’t support yet, a brokerage line, a friend who owes you money. Balances update only when you say so.
Add a manual account
Go to Banks and click Add manual account.
Pick the account type: Checking, Savings, Credit card, Cash, Investment, or Loan.
Give it a name (e.g. Wallet or BBVA Credit Card).
Choose the currency.
Enter the current balance — this becomes your starting point.
Click Save.
Currency: free vs paid
On the free plan, the currency dropdown is locked to your default currency — the one you picked at signup. You’ll see the message “Currency is locked to your default.” next to the field. To unlock other currencies, upgrade your plan; the app surfaces an upgrade dialog when you try to change it.
Paid users can mix any combination of currencies across accounts; Finthy converts to your default for the dashboard total.
Keeping the balance up to date
When you add, edit, or delete a manual transaction, the modals offer an Update account balance toggle. Leaving it on keeps the account total in sync automatically; turning it off lets you set the balance by hand. See Recording manual payments for details.
