How often do transactions sync?

How often transactions sync depends on your country and connection method.

United States (Plaid)

US bank transactions sync automatically via Plaid:

  • Automatic updates - Transactions sync multiple times per day

  • Real-time for many banks - Some institutions provide near real-time updates

  • Manual refresh - Pull to refresh anytime in the app

Supported: 12,000+ US banks and credit unions including Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, Capital One, and thousands more.

Mexico (Chrome Extension)

Transaction sync happens when you use the Chrome Extension. Supported banks:

  • Citibanamex

  • HSBC México

To sync transactions:

  1. Log into your bank website normally

  2. Click the Finthy extension icon

  3. The extension reads your transaction data

  4. Transactions are sent to your Finthy account

Chile and Brazil (Manual Connections)

For Chile and Brazil, you can add transactions through:

  • Manual entry - Add transactions directly in the app

  • File import - Upload CSV or PDF bank statements

Open Finance coming soon - We are working to bring automatic sync to Chile and Brazil.

Manual Options (All Countries)

For banks not supported by automatic sync, you can:

  • Manual transaction entry - Add transactions directly in the app

  • File import - Upload CSV or PDF bank statements

You can see when your accounts last synced by checking the "Last updated" timestamp on your dashboard or in the Accounts section.
